Ayurvedic diet and nutrition is a complex subject and can be overwhelming. In this introduction to Ayurvedic cooking, we will keep it simple! It’s all about the spices relative to your predominant dosha. We will discuss a handout on the general recommendations for the psychological treatment of the doshas. You will learn how to navigate the complexities of the dual or tri dosha constitution.
You will learn how to make a dosha friendly masala which is the basis of Indian cooking. We will apply the masala idea to a quick version of fried rice with spices, nuts and vegetables that is easy, tasty and very healthy. It is one of my staples. I’ll provide the recipe. Another is kitchari and I’ll explain the basic approach. You will also receive chai recipes for each dosha.
